I think throwing an armed grenade is not a funny joke even if it isn't filled with the powder. Where he got the idea that it could be is what gets me and I can't agree that it was a good move.
Tossing an armed grenade at anyone in general is not a smart move, I agree. Joke or not, it's not really that funny. Whether he was trying to be or not. (If I saw a grenade tossed at me in that situation, I'd probably be scared out of my mind)
